16 SOUND FIELD MODES

12 Cinema DSP programs: (35 mm Theater Surround, 70mm Movie Theater Adventure, 70mm Movie Theater General) and family oriented mutli-entertainment modes (Animation, Video Game, Karaoke, TV Sports, TV Theater, and Classic Film), plus 4 HiFi DSP Programs Concert Hall, Church, Rock concert, and Jazz Club).

PRE-OUT TERMINALS

Left and right main, center, left and right rear, and subwoofer pre-out terminals allow the DSP-E580 to be utilized as a 5 channel processor only - - utilizing extenal amplifiers for all 5 channels.

ON SCREEN DISPLAY

When you press a button on the remote control or front panel, the selection appears on the TV connected to the processor. Display can show three-dimensional graphic image of room with speakers for easy system set-up, and a selection of controls like Program Display, 3 Center Mode, Parameter Adjust, 5-step Dimmer, and Memory Guard. You can not only command your processor from your listening position, but visually confirm each operating step.

PARAMETER CONTROLS

Let you customize effects such as trim, presence, delay, reverberation, room size, and liveness.

MEMORY GUARD

A feature that prevents the altering of parameters without first disarming the "lock-out." This prevents the accidental alteration or erasure of previously carefully adjusted settings.

26 KEY WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL

Lets you control the major functions of other Yamaha system components from the hand-held remote unit.

CENTER AND REAR LEVEL CONTROLS

Lets you independently adjust volume for the center channel and rear effect speakers.
